Free Entry Route

Use ordinary First Class or Second Class post at the normal postal rate. Recorded, tracked, signed-for, Special Delivery or other premium postal services are not required.

• You must be aged 18 or over and resident in the United Kingdom.
• You must enter using your own accurate details and satisfy the same eligibility rules that apply to paid entrants.
• Any disclosed person/account/household entry limit applies equally across paid and free routes.
• If a Proper Wins account is required for paid entry, a matching account may also be required to process a free entry consistently, deliver ticket/results and enforce limits.

Send one handwritten, unenclosed postcard or handwritten letter for each free entry requested. Unless the specific game page requires additional information, include:

• Full name.
• Date of birth.
• Full UK residential address.
• Email address used on your Proper Wins account where an account is required.
• Mobile telephone number.
• The exact competition/game name.
• A clear request for one free entry.
• Any answer/declaration specifically required by the game page.
• Your signature confirming you are 18+ and accept the applicable rules.

Each separately posted communication requests one free entry. Multiple free entries require separate postal communications and ordinary postage. Bulk sheets, one card requesting multiple entries, photocopied bundles or automated submissions will not count as multiple entries.

A free entry must be physically received and capable of processing before the closing date/time or genuine sell-out closure shown on the game page. Posting before the deadline does not guarantee receipt. Allow sufficient delivery time.

Proper Wins is not responsible for ordinary postal loss, delay, damage or misdirection outside its control.

Entries may be rejected where illegible, incomplete, late, fraudulent, outside the disclosed entry limit, unmatched to a required account or otherwise non-compliant with the published rules. We will not reject a valid free entry merely because it was free.

Valid paid and free entries are entered into the same applicable draw or prize-allocation mechanism. The winner-selection/prize system must not recognise the entry route as a reason to favour a paid entrant.

Where a ticket number is required, the processed free entry will receive a ticket under the same underlying allocation rules as paid entries. We may confirm processing by email/account history. Lack of an email receipt does not convert an invalid or late entry into a valid one.

Where an eligible game includes instant-win results, a valid processed free entry is assigned a ticket/result through the same underlying auditable allocation mechanism used for paid entries. The visual reveal does not determine or alter the result.

If a free entry wins, Proper Wins will make the result/prize available using the customer account or contact details supplied, subject to normal verification.

The free-entry option should be signposted clearly enough on relevant game pages and promotional material for customers to see that a no-entry-fee route exists before purchasing. The full instructions are maintained on this page.

Do not include cash, cheque or payment-card details with a postal entry. Proper Wins does not charge an entry fee for a valid free entry. The entrant only bears the ordinary cost of the chosen normal-rate communication.

The game page may contain specific closing times, entry caps, answer requirements or other material conditions. Those clearly disclosed game-specific rules apply together with this Free Entry Route and the general Terms.
